My story
Bernd Lauer was born in Braunschweig-Lehndorf in 1952. Raised in middle-class circumstances, he began his apprenticeship as a wholesale and foreign trade clerk after graduating from high school. After successfully completing his apprenticeship, he left Braunschweig to gain experience in the world. He spent his professional life in the real estate industry and moved from Bremen to Frankfurt to Hanover, where he married in 1978 and gave birth to his daughter. It wasn't until 2005 that he discovered his passion for art and learned that there is also a spiritual life. In 2009, Bernd Lauer opened his first studio in the Osnabrück region and soon presented his first exhibitions. During this time, he deepened his knowledge by studying philosophical and esoteric books, including classics such as the Kybalion and the Emerald Tablet. He also intensively studied theosophical writings of Blavatsky and Steiner, thereby expanding his worldview from the Rosicrucians to the Hermeticists. Bernd Lauer developed the ability to express his feelings through the use of color. Although he did not complete a formal art course, he continued his education by participating in workshops and similar events and was inspired by other artists. A primary goal of his art is to create images that continually present themselves to the viewer in new ways and thus never become boring. With this approach, he pursues an innovative path in the art world. Over time, painting alone was no longer enough for him. Bernd Lauer began to intensively explore photography and the digital possibilities in art. This significantly expanded his creative possibilities. From then on, creating a new work consisted not only of brush and canvas, but also of photographs and the use of the computer. These diverse variations offered his creative spirit further opportunities for self-expression. In 2010, he began writing to express his concerns about the state of nature, species extinction, and climate protection. He initially published non-fiction books on these topics, later adding spiritual and philosophical works. His first novel, "Semuchal's Journey to Heaven," was published in 2016. Many of his works reflect his great imagination and his unique sense of color. It is evident that his spiritual approach is an important source of inspiration for his artwork. For Bernd Lauer, the path in art is just as important as the finished work itself. In 2022, his artwork was certified by JA Akoun.
